Ziggy is a beautiful cat with an angelic face. Unfortunately, she has had a bad start in life (not sure what happened to her) and as a result was surrendered to New West Animal Shelter because of aggressive behavior towards humans. In the year she spent at the shelter, she proved to be very disruptive and was fearful and aggressive towards other cats as well as volunteers. She was fostered in July and went to live in a household with three other cats. She has made good progress and no longer swats everybody -- her favourite activity is jumping in the bath (empty) and drinking out of the tap. At times she can be very sweet and affectionate with people but is still very fearful of any other cats. To continue her rehabilitation, we believe Ziggy needs to be in a household with no other pets. Given the right circumstances with lots of patience and love, we are confident she could blossom into a wonderful pet. We’re now looking for a permanent foster home for Ziggy. Cats placed in foster care by the society are eligible for financial assistance to cover veterinary bills as well as litter and food, as necessary.
